Lawler Liquid Foam Bath (ASTM D892)

Model 24 dual foam  liquid test bath is the traditional arrangement with two glass jars mounted on a supporting base. Each jar accepts two, 1 liter test cylinders for ASTM D892, Sequences I, II and III testing. One bath is typically controlled at 24°C and the other for 93.5°C with stability of better than ±0.5°C.

Model 28 is similar to Model 24 but upgraded for semi-automated operation for increased precision and operator assistance. It is equipped with a two-channel automated sequencer, a two channel mass flow controller, and four temperature probes for the measurement of the sample temperatures.

The two channel automated sequencer automatically starts the air flow after the required 5 minutes of gas diffuser stone in the test sample, stops the air flow after 5 minutes, signals the operator to view the foam height, and after 10 minutes again signals the operator to again observe the collapsed foam level. The two channel mass flow controller accurately measures and controls the air flow to the test samples at 94 ml/min ±5 ml/min.
